Franklin Gear was started to help build pride in our community as we share its story with the world. There are lots of great things happening behind the scenes in Franklin, but a lot more needs to be done as we revitalize this proud city.
I'd obviously appreciate you checking out franklingearnh.com and seeing Franklin Gear in person at the Franklin Studio and wearing your pride with one of our great items.
I want to give everyone an opportunity to show their community pride at no cost. Stop in to The Franklin Studio this Saturday. They are open from 8am to 2pm. You know where it is - downtown at the intersection of Central and Franklin Streets - next to Marty at Outdoor New England. You'll see her giant red, white and blue "OPEN" flag.
Stop in and see Jo at the counter and ask for a Franklin Guy or Franklin Girl decal or two. Got kids? Get one for each of them. These decals are 2" across - the perfect size for adorning your laptop, cell phone or tablet (just not over the screen). Here they are on my laptop keyboard. They are great for a water bottle or notebook for school. And they are FREE - no purchase necessary!
These are not cheap, flimsy stickers - they can take a punch! They can handle the microwave and dishwasher. So you can put them on your favorite water bottle or mug and they will last. I test sample everything I sell - or give away in this case. I've nuked them hundreds of times and ran them through the dishwasher on ceramic and plastic - and they are still as good as new after months of wear.
While you are at the Studio grab a cup of coffee and a locally made Brothers Donut. She makes great breakfast and panini sandwiches too. Meet with some friends or make some new ones! And please check out her great gift shop with New Hampshire Made Crafts and yes - Franklin Gear too.
When you are trying to build something it is easy to reach for the hammer!
No! Not that one!
Yes, I am talking to you! Everyone in a community should consider themselves an ambassador to the outside world. There is no denying it, wherever you reside, you represent your community. Even if you have moved elsewhere along the road of life, you still have the opportunity to represent the community you grew up in. If you don’t like the perception of your community – do something about it.
So, Doug is my UPS Guy! I also went to school with him, which is neat. So what did Doug do? His job. But it is not an easy job - especially during the Holiday Season. He and his fellow men and women in brown will deliver some 800 Million packages this holiday season! FedEx - around 400 million! And the US Postal Service? 900 million! That is insane! We are talking well over 2 billion packages delivered between Thanksgiving and Christmas! I only ask that 1% are from Franklin Gear - is that too much to ask?
For most of you reading this it is Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am certainly grateful for the support we received starting Franklin Gear. I'm going to ask for a little more . . . This is our first Holiday Season. Please help us make it a great one. Share the Franklin Gear Story with friends and family, near and far! We especially appreciate it when you share a post or send a link on social media. Like us on Facebook, share one of our posts, etc . . . you know it better than me.
Changes at Franklin Gear...
Hey all you Franklin Guys & Girls from around the country - I hope you will get a chance to make it home for the holidays. I've been off the social media grid - prepping our site for the holiday season. If you haven't been on franklingearnh.com in a while you'll see a lot of changes. We've redesigned the home page - and most of the others too - to make them more shoppable. And we've added a ton of new stuff in time for the holidays!
