Franklin's 15th Annual Community Day
We chose Choose Franklin's 15th Annual Community Day to debut our Franklin Gear booth! It was a beautiful, all be it windy, day. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!
City Council Member, and a Community Day Organizer, George Dzujna. The consummate politician, George takes a few minutes to talk monetary policy with Frankie.
We also used Community Day to debut our newest designs. Here's a little about our first one...
Hydro Station No. 2
I recently met with Alan Larter, owner of Hydro Station No. 2. It has been in the Larter Family since 1978. Alan gave me great access, including a walk across the top and a trip inside the generator house!
Traveling west on Central Street out of downtown, passed Cumbies, one notices the glass-like surface of the Winnipesaukee River. One might even mistake it for a pond - the water looks so still. But looks can be deceiving,..
I saw the sign...
Back on Central Street. Standing on the bridge, look closely at the dam and you'll see a great vintage sign. I did, and it became the Hydro Station No. 2 Design!
That's a little closer - What a cool sign! Check out a few more pics...
Our T-Shirts are available online and at The Franklin Studio - 366 Central Street Franklin. Our Tanks are only available here online. We'll be adding more styles too!
Yet another one of Franklin's hidden gems. The tour was great. Click the button below to learn what Hydro Station No. 2 has done for our environment. You'll say, "Thanks Alan" for sure!
