Hi all. Welcome to another Bill Y. – Franklin Guy Blog. I don’t do this as often as the experts say you should. But I don’t really care what they think. Sure, Franklin Gear is a brand. Heck, individuals have to worry about their brands too (some athletes seem to spend more time on that than practicing – and for many it shows).
You could certainly say I’m full of crap since I call these blogs Bill Y. – Franklin Guy. . .
OK, so I’ve thought a little about brand. I mostly use Bill Y. - Franklin Guy so that people don’t have to say, or even worse, have to spell Yacopucci. It’s really not that hard, but it has intimidated many. I found this website a while back and am proud to be The Yacopucci that made our pronunciation official. Check it out, it is kind of fun.
See if they have your name right. If people are always mispronouncing your name, here is a chance to set the world straight. You can submit your own audio clip and a part of you will be immortal – assuming we don’t eventually blow up the Internet - tempting...
The Only Brand I Care About is Franklin, N.H.
It is a brand that didn’t always get respect. But that has been changing thanks to the hard work of many long-time citizens… and some relatively new ones. We have a great business community and our city employees are second to none - they haven’t missed a beat during the pandemic!
So, Monday (5-11-20) is when NH starts to open up a bit more. And The Franklin Studio will open again for the first time, in a while anyway. Jo Brown (no relation to Antonio) is the owner - and a great part of our community in too many ways to count. If you are not familiar with The Franklin Studio - it is right in downtown by the lights – across from Toad Hall. You’ll conveniently know it is open when she puts out this flag. Or click on the picture to go to their website. . .
If you’ve never been to The Studio, you may have wondered what it is. They don’t make movies or take professional photos or anything like that. It is a great café and gift shop. Everything Jo sells is NH Made. On the food side Jo has A & E Coffee, Brothers Donuts, Bread & Chocolate Pastries… and Arnie’s Ice Cream. She also makes a great breakfast sandwich and awesome paninis for lunch. My favorite is The Mill Worker: Roast beef, pepper jack cheese and … ok I’m hungry just thinking about it. Call one in and find out for yourself!
